Coach Adam Petersen is a Division 1 Head Coach in the OBA (Ontario Basketball Association) and CYBL (Canadian Youth Basketball League) for his two Rep Teams and previously served as an Assistant Coach for the Bill Crothers Jr Boys Prep Basketball Team. He is known to get the best out of kids and to help them learn the fundamentals to be successful at the game of basketball, all while having FUN.
Coach Adam has played basketball his entire life and is well known to the Montreal Basketball Community where he grew up. He played High School Basketball for one of Quebec's Elite Basketball Programs where they captured multiple Regional and Provincial Titles and was named Captain and Most Valuable Player for four consecutive seasons. He also captained his Regional All-Star Team to Gold at the Quebec Games (Jeux du Québec), was Captain for his AAA Rep and College Basketball Teams, and was a member of the Junior Provincial Team.
For the last 8 years he has been coaching and training his daughters Rep Basketball Teams so that he could help instil the same love of the game that he has to the next generation. With the popularity of the game of basketball at an all-time high, Coach Adam looks forward to helping your kids achieve their basketball dreams. Since the launch of Toronto Hoopstars training programs, we have helped hundreds of kids achieve their goal of making it onto a Rep Team or on their school team. Our goal is and has always been to help kids achieve a great level of success in basketball and that's what drives us each day.
Coach Adam resides in Markham, Ontario with his wife Elise and daughters Haley and Ashley. He also stays involved with the community and serves as a volunteer Board Director for the Cornell Residents Association, a non-profit group that encourages residents to create and sustain a beautiful, clean and friendly neighbourhood. Not only does Coach Adam help kids on the basketball court, but he also helps kids in the classroom as a Supply Teacher with the York Catholic District School Board.
